Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

STILL I RISE
This collage series incorporates archival facsimiles of photographs compiled by W.E.B. Du Bois. The series, called the “American Negro” is a collection of photos of affluent young African Americans that was exhibited at the 1900 Paris Exposition. Du Bois’ goal was to fight the stereotypical notion of that the Negro was of a singular “type”. In other words, he was showing that Black folks have risen from slavery and are achieving economically, socially, and culturally. In addition to the vintage photographs, the artist embeds phrases and text from Maya Angelou’s 1978 poem, “Still I Rise”.
Cora Marshall, born in Washington, DC, received her B.F.A. from Howard University; Master of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education with Parsons School of Design; and her doctorate in art from New York University. Dr. Marshall, Professor Emeritus, served as chairperson of the Department of Art at Central Connecticut State University 2006 - 2012. Marshall has exhibited both internationally and nationally including National Conference of Artists; Kumasi, Ghana; A.I.R. Gallery NYC; Skylight Restoration Gallery in Brooklyn; Hammonds House Gallery in Atlanta; Pittsburgh Center for the Arts; Craftery Gallery, in Hartford; the Rosenburg Gallery at NYU; and Picture That, LLC, Stamford, CT with multiple venues.
